Hybrid

Salary: Up to £ 40,000 depending on experience + up to 20% annual bonus + benefits

The Role

As a Data Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing data migration tasks for large-scale projects. You will review and analyze complex data sets and work closely with Data Engineers and ETL teams to ensure smooth and accurate data transfers. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the successful migration of live-performing loans, contributing to the successful integration of new data into our products. 

You’ll work closely with our Group Consultants and Directors to design, document, and implement data migration solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your experience in data migration projects and your ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders and executive management will be crucial in driving success. A solid understanding of the financial services industry, along with expertise in the financial modeling of Consumer and Commercial loans, is essential. Additionally, your knowledge of regulatory requirements across EMEA countries will significantly enhance your effectiveness in this role. As a key member of the team, you will confidently lead client meetings, leveraging your passion for data and your problem-solving skills to tackle complex financial challenges, even when faced with incomplete information.

Key Responsibilities 

From time to time the key responsibilities may change or be adapted to the needs of the business, however the below gives an overview of the key areas of focus

  • Undertake analysis of client data to gain a deep understanding of its meaning
  • Confidently collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
  • Design and document detailed plans for the transformation and loading of financial data from external to internal systems
  • Facilitate financial data reconciliation activities
  • Document and validate with stakeholders any issues or gaps within data or business requirements
  • Work closely with our Data Engineering and other cross-functional teams to ensure that data migrations align with new system requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data migration projects
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling and business practices
  • Expertise in defining and documenting data migration proposals
  • The ability to decipher complex technical information and translate into a format understandable by people at all levels
  • Proven ability to assess and understand complex data models
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to stakeholders at all levels
