The Role

The Data Governance Projects team, within the Kyndryl Data Governance Office, is a vital part of the Legal department. It is responsible for delivering projects and transformation programs across the company to ensure compliance with global privacy regulations and to deploy strategic data governance initiatives. This team manages a broad range of projects supporting Kyndryl’s global privacy regulatory obligations concerning employees, customers, and suppliers.

As a Data Governance Projects Manager, you will collaborate with stakeholders such as Kyndryl’s Delivery organization, the Chief Information Office (CIO), Chief Information Security Office (CISO), Procurement, Marketing, Global Practices, and Customer Engagement teams to scope, solution, and deliver projects related to privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, AI, and supply chain management.

Your role will be key in enabling Kyndryl’s approach to evolving legal and regulatory requirements and business needs.

Your Key Responsibilities include:

  • Building project teams by bringing together diverse stakeholder groups
  • Translating requirements (e.g., regulatory) into tangible project plans
  • Owning and driving timely project execution, including with suppliers (e.g., OneTrust)
  • Managing project scope changes effectively
  • Incorporating compliance management into projects with KPIs and clear process documentation
  • Enabling tooling-based solutions (e.g., OneTrust) to support changing regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring IT security frameworks are included within project scope
  • Delivering education and enablement activities within projects
  • Transitioning completed projects to the Data Governance Operations team

Who You Are

You are skilled and experienced, with a growth mindset, eager to develop personally and professionally, and supportive of others. You prioritize customer impact and believe in trust, enjoyment, and inclusivity within teams.

Requirements & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in IT, managed services, or regulated industries
  • Experience managing full project lifecycles and transformations
  • Strong knowledge of global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  • Understanding of IT security and data management frameworks
  • Experience in compliance management, including with suppliers
  • Leadership skills and risk management understanding
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
  • Collaborative mindset focused on continuous improvement

Education & Certifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMI)
  • Additional certifications (e.g., CRISC, CISM, CISSP, ISO27001/27011, CIPP, CIPM, CDPSE, CIPT) are advantageous

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with privacy platforms like OneTrust
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001/27701 and NIST frameworks
