We are currently recruiting for a highly sought-after Senior Data Governance Consultant role on behalf of a prestigious client within the public sector consultancy space. This role offers a flexible remote working arrangement with travel to Bristol two days per week.

The Role:
As a Senior Data Governance Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in advising government departments and agencies on data governance strategies. You will ensure the secure and compliant management of sensitive government data, driving best practices and building robust frameworks. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of public sector transformation, where your expertise in data governance will directly impact large-scale initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement comprehensive data governance strategies and frameworks
Advise on regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR) and data protection best practices
Lead stakeholder engagement sessions, driving data governance awareness and adoption
Conduct assessments of data governance maturity and develop roadmaps for improvement
Ensure the security and quality of sensitive government data throughout its lifecycle
Deliver workshops and training sessions to promote governance policies and proceduresKey Requirements:

Active SC Clearance is essential
Extensive experience in data governance, preferably within public sector or government projects
Deep understanding of data regulations, data protection, and information security standards
Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders, offering strategic advice and guidance
Excellent communication skills with a track record of delivering governance workshops or training
Willingness to travel to Bristol twice a week for in-person meetings and collaboration
