Evolve-IT are delighted to be working with this impressive team based in St Andrews. Given the nature of the team, if you are looking for an exciting and varied role within data, where you get to be involved with some of the newest, cutting-edge technology in the sporting world, this is the role for you.

For this particular role, we are looking for someone to help implement data governance policies and procedures. You will work closely with the legal team to ensure that they align with government standards and GDPR regulations, whilst working within the data team to report on quality metrics and issues. Our client has new and exciting upcoming projects to work on, so this is well suited for someone who likes to keep busy!

Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders

  • Develop concept models for inventory data assets

  • Implement and continuously improve data governance frameworks, policies and procedures.

  • Drive specific data governance initiative and working groups

  • Ensure awareness and engagement with data governance concepts with key stakeholders

  • Staying updated with industry trends and the best practices for governance

  • Manage a community of data owners from within stakeholder teams

  • Provide training on best data governance practices

    Essentials:

  • Proven experience in data analysis, data management, data governance or related role

  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks

  • Strong understanding of best practice

  • Risk management experience with data and GDPR compliance

  • Experience of measuring and improving data quality

    The team work on a hybrid model, which tends to lean more towards three days on site in St Andrews.
