Minimum Requirements:
Must have a 4 Year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent)
8+ years overall IT experience (5+ years as DBA)
Technical Skills:
Hands-on expertise in data migration between databases on-prem to AWS cloud RDS.
Experience in usage of AWS Data Migration Service (DMS)
Experience in export/import of huge size Database Schema, full load plus CDC.
Knowledge & experience in Unix command and writing task automation shell scripts.
Knowledge & experience on different Backup/restore methods and backup tools.
Experienced with hands-on DBA skills of database monitoring, performance tuning, and DB refresh.
Hands-on experience in Database support.
Good command of DB Query language and its architecture.
Experience in Conversion of Schema from one DB to another is an added advantage.
Experience in Database and server consolidation.
Strong hands-on experience in building logical data models, Data Quality, and Data security.
Understand Application lifecycle and build Service continuity documents.
Responsible for building knowledge base - Run books, Cheat sheets, DR Drill books, Escalation procedures.
Database refreshes from Production to Acceptance/Development environment.
Coordinate with the infrastructure/application team to get the required information.
Evidence gathering for Audits.
Non-Technical Skills:
Good Team Player.
Ownership skills - should be an individual performer to take deliverables and handle fresh challenges.
Service/Customer orientation with strong oral and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal, team building, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate; communicate clearly and concisely to laypeople and peers.
Should be ready to work in rotating shifts (morning, general, and afternoon shifts).
Ability to see the bigger picture and differing perspectives; to compromise and balance competing priorities.
Desire for continuous improvement; always learning and seeking improvement.
Ability to analyze a problem and understand the impact of changes in the database.
Ability to communicate complex technology to a non-technical audience in a simple and precise manner.
