Data Engineer/Data Consultant (Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric Migration)
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 3 Months (Inside IR35)

My client, based in Edinburgh, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Data Consultant to support their migration from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric. This role involves ensuring a seamless transition, adopting new functionalities, and enabling the Data and BI teams through in-house training and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

Migration Support: Manage the end-to-end migration, including data transformation and testing. On-Demand Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support to optimise the new environment. Team Training: Share knowledge and train in-house teams on Microsoft Fabric features. Data Visualisation: Support reporting needs with tools like Power BI.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in Azure Data Services (Synapse, SQL, Data Factory, Data Lake, Data bricks, Microsoft Fabric).
- Experience with Data Visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI).

Contract Details:
- Inside IR35, 3-month initial contract with possible extension.
- Hybrid Role in Edinburgh; flexible for the right candidate.

This client recognises that Microsoft Fabric is an incredibly new technology, so are open to looking at individuals with significant Azure Synapse Experience if no Fabric Experience.
