Role

: Data Engineer

Duration: 6 Months (extension options) November Start.


Location: Remote,


Rate: £ per day (umbrella)



As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines that align with the objectives of our client's data users. Collaborating with product, data platform, and data architect managers, you will focus on establishing and scaling data pipelines in the domains of finance, safety, HR, and operational performance.



Key Responsibilities:



Write, develop, and maintain codebase and data products using Python and SQL.
Troubleshoot DevOps/Cloud platforms.
Automate data quality checks based on data contracts and information model.
Collaborate with data teams to align with data governance standards and principles.
Produce support documentation from technical requirements to end delivery.
Be open to learning and contributing to data science and predictive analytics.


Requirements:



A degree in a relevant field such as statistics, computer science, physics, or engineering.
Proven experience in process and/or tool development for data-based processes.
Expertise in Python and SQL programming languages.
Familiarity with Azure cloud computing.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


Skills:


- Required:Python (Flask and Pandas experience preferred), SQL, GIT, Azure DevOps, Snowflake (or any cloud solutions), Communication, DBT.


- Nice to have:Azure Cosmos, Azure Storage (Blob and/or ADLS), Cloud Functions, React or Typescript (Front-end), Data Science and statistical analysis experience, DataOps.Live.
