Job Description

As a Data Engineer, you will be part of our global Business Intelligence (BI) team, which sits within the central marketing function at Hult International Business School. The BI team leads data engineering, warehousing, and business intelligence, supporting marketing, enrollment, and finance teams by managing CRM data ingestion, pipelines, modelling, and visualization platforms.

In this role, you will work closely with digital, technology, central marketing, enrollment, and finance teams, as well as external providers and suppliers, to build and maintain scalable data infrastructure that powers business decisions

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering (ETL, Pipelines, Data Modeling, Snowflake, dbt)

Develop and maintain data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources such as Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, and social media platforms. Design and implement analytics-ready data models in dbt and Snowflake, following best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Optimize data processing workflows to ensure efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Automate data validation and anomaly detection to ensure data integrity across systems.

CRM & Marketing Data Operations (Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Data Pipelines)

Manage and enhance CRM data processes, handling a large record dataset to ensure data consistency and usability. Work closely with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud data to maintain data flows, optimize segmentation, and improve marketing data pipelines. Monitor data quality across CRM and marketing platforms, ensuring accurate and timely data availability. Support marketing and enrollment teams by enabling effective data integrations and usage.

Data Visualization (Tableau, KPI Development)

Develop and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau, presenting key business metrics and operational insights. Ensure data models are optimized for visualization tools to support fast, scalable reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide structured, data-driven solutions.

Qualifications:

Must-Haves:

Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, engineering, or a related quantitative field 5+ years of experience in data operations and engineering Strong proficiency in complex CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) 2+ years of experience in data warehousing, with expertise in Snowflake and dbt being strong advantages Hands-on experience managing ETL pipelines and integrating diverse data sources Proficiency in data visualization tools, preferably Tableau with the ability to create clear, structured reports Advanced SQL and Python skills Strong Excel skills, including advanced data manipulation and analysis Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical insights and business needs effectively Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proactive, results-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Knowledge of predictive modelling or machine learning Experience with additional data visualization tools Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Understanding of marketing data pipelines and attribution models
