Are you a data-driven problem solver with a passion for building robust data pipelines and infrastructure? We’re working with a major player in the utilities sector who is seeking a talented

Data Engineer

to join their growing data team in

Newcastle .
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on impactful projects that support critical infrastructure, while enjoying a hybrid working model with

3 days per week on-site .
What You’ll Be Doing:
Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across various platforms.
Supporting the migration and integration of data from legacy systems to modern cloud-based environments.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong SQL skills and experience with data modelling and warehousing.
Proficiency in Python or another programming language used for data engineering.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, or similar is a plus.
What’s On Offer:
Competitive salary between

£45,000 – £55,000 , depending on experience.
Flexible hybrid working – 3 days on-site in Newcastle.
