My prestigious client have received significant investment to modernise their data lakehouse platform, transforming their legacy systems into a real-time Databricks, PowerBI and AWS platform. This platform will elevate the business, ultimately transforming the way in which they work and utilise data.

They're over 12 months into the implementation but as you can imagine, there's still plenty more to get done here. So they now feel it's time to bring on a seasoned Data Engineer to join the team and take the platform to the very next level.

You'll be able to hit the ground running in Databricks and ideally have knowledge of Apache Spark. Naturally you'll have sound SQL exposure and AWS from a Cloud perspective. Pyspark would be hugely advantageous to this position too. The platform integrates Power BI so it would be fab if you could present complex reports dashboards in PowerBI - or if not, within a similar tool.

What I love about this role, is that they will up-skill you AI/ML as this evolves on their road-map! So if you're fascinated in the world of AI, these guys are big on training and development, having invested in vast amounts of e-learning materials in order to ensure their staff are well supported within on-going learning and development. They really believe in getting the best out of their people!

Their offices are based in Leicester and the role is hybrid, with 3 days a week in the office. Salary is up to £55,000 with an awesome pension scheme in place , 25 days holiday and so much more.
