In brief

We seek well-rounded data engineers capable of tackling complex data challenges, impressing clients, and impacting team output. We offer a supportive environment with career development, mentorship, and diverse project opportunities.
You will work with talented developers and data engineers, supported by a Technical Lead, on projects such as:
Data modeling for Moorfields Eye Hospital’s INSIGHT programme
Maintaining data pipelines and dashboards on Elexon’s Azure platform
Implementing AI transcription services for the BBC using GenAI
Migrating legacy Excel workflows for a financial services firm
Modeling data for a civil service department replacing a legacy HR system
Experience and qualifications

Technical
3+ years’ experience in data or software engineering
Knowledge of Python, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, and major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and sectors
Understanding of data engineering best practices and system design
Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts and engaging clients
Proven track record of delivering impactful results and taking on team responsibilities

The package

Softwire offers transparent pay scales and profit sharing based on role and company performance:
Base salary from £49,100-£64,600, depending on experience
Profit share ranging from £3,532-£10,861
Additional 5% of salary for pension
Additional benefits
25 days annual leave (with buy/sell options)
Flexible work options (e.g., remote work, 4-day week)

6 months Primary Carer Leave at full pay
