Join Bupa’s Data Team to develop data pipelines supporting the Data Analytics Cloud (DAC/DOC) platform and drive transformation across the organisation’s data landscape. You’ll play a key role in Data Warehouse Engineering initiatives, while ensuring operational procedures, security practices, and production policies meet high service standards.

How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen

Design and build end-to-end data pipelines, including load patterns, error handling, and MDM automation.
Resolve data and information queries, ensuring traceability to source.
Define and develop Data Analytics Cloud Platform requirements using modern EDW tools and best practices.
Maintain team documentation and evaluate data quality and standards compliance.
Implement operational procedures, security practices, and production policies.
Recommend and evaluate development tools for optimal value and efficiency.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and maintain solution documentation.
Contribute to IT strategy, ensure alignment with architecture and standards, and manage risks.
Perform quality assurance checks and promote lean process adoption.
Support the strategic direction of UKMU IT with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role

Proficient in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, and dynamic SQL for metadata-driven frameworks; SSIS experience is a plus.
Certifications such as DP 203 and AZ 900 or similar certification/experience.
Skilled in monitoring and optimising database systems, including storage, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Experienced in designing robust data pipelines, managing migrations, and resolving performance issues.
Strong understanding of relational databases, data modelling, profiling, and enterprise data tools.
Background in business requirements analysis, database design (3NF & dimensional), and MS BI architecture.
Excellent communication, documentation, and client interaction skills.
Proven experience across full project lifecycles, DevOps implementation, and working with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB).
Hands-on with tools like Redgate SQL Toolbelt, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Services, PySpark/Python, and Snowflake.
