The Role

The Data Engineer will be responsible for:

• developing data pipelines and analytical solutions, critical for driving strategic business decisions (using Azure, Databricks, Python and/or PySpark and SQL)
• work cross-functionally with various teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions
• developing models to support data warehousing and BI initiatives
• creating interactive dashboards (using Power BI)
• following engineering best practices and processes (e.g. code reviews, testing, documentation)
• keep up to date with emerging data engineering and cloud computing trends/technologies

About you

Applicants for the Data Engineer role will:

• be an experienced with Azure, Databricks, SQL, Python and/or PySpark, Power BI
• strong communication skills with experience of working cross-functionally
• a strong understanding of cloud computing
• have worked in a manufacturing or engineering business
