Do you want to be part of making change happen, working in some of the most exciting and challenging public services, from boardroom to the frontline?

Being a data engineer at PPL means you are passionate about public sector reform and have the technical expertise and innovative mindset to drive our new Data and Analytics Team forward.

About the Role:

We offer a unique opportunity for individuals to develop and deploy data engineering skills on a wide range of innovative projects aimed at improving public sector outcomes across the UK. This role is based in our London offices in SE1, and on client sites as required. As a key member of the newly formed Data and Analytics Team, you will configure the data foundations necessary to provide a flexible, scalable, and easy-to-use data platform for diverse public sector projects. You will also provide analytical support to the Consulting team, enhancing our capabilities and supporting our clients, including the NHS and local government, with complex datasets.

Salary:The salary for this role ranges from £42,000 to £47,250 per annum, depending on your level of experience.

Benefits:

  • An annual £2,136 London travel allowance
  • A starting 26 days of annual leave, plus UK bank holidays
  • 10 days of paid volunteering leave per annum, to be used with the charity of your choice
  • Tailored professional development opportunities, including support for ongoing technical certifications and additional training.
  • Company health, life insurance and pension scheme
  • Access to a range of other discounts and rewards, including our Cycle to Work scheme

What We Are Looking For:

  • Relevant academic background in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL processes
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Healthcare and NHS background (desirable)

The Process:

PPL operates a blind recruitment process. Successfully shortlisted candidates can expect:
