Data Engineer | up to £475/day outside | Remote - Monthly London Workshop Were seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support the delivery of a key component within a government Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) . This is a fast-paced, high-priority phase of the programme, with delivery targeted for September , and the potential for long-term engagement on a broader multi-year transformation. Youll be joining a growing team of contractors working with modern Azure tools to deliver real impact across the public sector. Key Responsibilities: * Contribute to the development and delivery of a secure, scalable data platform using Azure services. * Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet critical delivery milestones. * Build robust data pipelines using ADF, Databricks, and Synapse. * Work in an agile delivery environment with regular integration and testing. * Attend one in-person workshop per month in London. Required Skills & Experience: * Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory , Databricks , and Synapse . * Proven track record of delivering secure, performant data engineering solutions. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first setup. * Active SC and NPPV3 clearance . * Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills. Contract Details: * Start Date: Within 2 weeks * Rate: up to £475/day * IR35: Outside IR35 * Location: Remote-first, with monthly on-site workshops in London * Duration: 3 months initially, with strong potential for extension (2-3 year roadmap) This is a great opportunity for a data engineer who thrives in secure, delivery-focused environments and wants to contribute to meaningful public sector outcomes.
