About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and strategic Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions across our cloud environment. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our enterprise data architecture using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and related technologies.

You will work across teams to integrate diverse data sources, optimize database performance, and ensure compliance with evolving data governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Architect Scalable Data Solutions: Design and implement efficient data models and database architectures to support current and future business needs.

Develop Documentation & Metadata Standards: Maintain clear and up-to-date architectural documentation, including metadata definitions and data lineage diagrams.

Establish Data Standards & Best Practices: Define and enforce data architecture principles, governance policies, and operational procedures to maintain consistency and compliance.

Enhance Performance & Reliability: Continuously refine and optimize database environments for speed, availability, and resilience.

Enable Cross-Platform Integration: Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to unify data from diverse sources into a cohesive architecture.

Support Compliance & Data Security: Implement data governance frameworks and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal data protection standards.

Explore and Recommend Emerging Tools: Stay current on data platform advancements and suggest new technologies that can enhance scalability and innovation.

What Were Looking For
Required Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience as a Data Architect, Senior Data Engineer, or similar role within a Microsoft technology stack.

Proven expertise in:

Data modeling and database design (SQL & NoSQL)

Cloud-based architecture on Azure (required), and familiarity with AWS

Microsoft Fabric and Logic Apps

Azure-based machine learning workflows and Databricks on Azure

Designing and optimizing data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines

Experience implementing data governance, security standards, and compliance practices.

Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data strategies to non-technical stakeholders.

Outstanding problem-solving abilities and organizational skills.

Certifications (Preferred/Desirable):
Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Azure Data Engineer Associate

Knowledge of Azure security & access management (Azure AD, Azure Policy)

Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices
