Pulse Recruit seek a Data Architect to lead data strategy and roadmapping for a transformation project within a renowned University based in London.


The role is predominantly remote with occasional visits to London (1-2 days per month)

As a Data Architect, you'll develop scalable, secure, and flexible data solutions that support strategic goals. You'll provide technical leadership, collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs, and evaluate emerging technologies to continually enhance our data capabilities. Your expertise will ensure that our data systems are well-integrated, compliant, and documented, enabling us to deliver responsive, accessible digital services.


Key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data architecture solutions aligned with business requirements and strategic objectives
  • Develop and maintain scalable, flexible, and secure data models
  • Lead and guide project teams to deliver on data initiatives within scope and deadlines
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative data technologies and tools
  • Conduct architecture reviews, ensure standards compliance, and facilitate knowledge sharing
  • Support troubleshooting and maintain documentation for all data processes


Tech stack includes:

SQL, Python, Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, SQL DB, Blob, Lake), data warehousing solutions, Power BI or Tableau, modern data processing tools, and more.
