As a Data Architect (Manager) at Kainos, you’ll be responsible for providing SME guidance in traditional data architecture disciplines, including data structures, data flows, data sourcing, and data governance. Data Architects work closely with clients to understand their data requirements and ensure solutions are fit for purpose. They also provide technical leadership within the team, often working at the solution or enterprise level to resolve data definition and mastering issues across complex stakeholder environments.

Our data projects leverage cutting-edge technology to solve real-world problems, and we are seeking high-caliber professionals to join our Data & AI capability, where you will grow and contribute to industry-leading expertise.

You will manage, coach, and develop a small team, focusing on performance management and career development. You will also provide strategic direction and leadership to solve challenging problems collaboratively.


Minimum requirements:

  • Experience in the UK Healthcare sector or Public Sector
  • Strong technical design expertise in core data architecture disciplines, including data modelling, analysis, metadata management, transformation, migration, and master data management
  • Proven track record of providing technical leadership in data projects, including assurance, mentoring, and standards setting
  • Experience in product or technology selection at project or enterprise level
  • Excellent client engagement skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing thought leadership and inspiring teams
  • Proficiency in at least three mainstream data technologies and awareness of broader data technology trends
  • A self-starter capable of working with high uncertainty, with demonstrated experience in managing, coaching, and developing junior team members


Desirable:

  • Experience defining information handling models and capacity planning across heterogeneous data stores
  • Experience establishing data governance processes
  • Experience architecting data lakes and solutions within a data lake ecosystem
  • Enterprise Data Architecture experience
