Data Architect (Customer Domain)

Location:3 days onsite - London

Salary:Up to £107,500 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking an experiencedData Architectwith a strong customer data background to help shape and mature our data capabilities. As a strategic advisor and technical expert, you’ll be at the heart of our Commercial data transformation, supporting everything from CRM integration to GDPR-compliant architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain scalable, secure, and business-aligneddata architecture
  • Championdata governance(GDPR/DPIA) and promote high standards in data quality and compliance
  • Lead the design ofconceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Collaborate with business and IT to align data strategy with business outcomes
  • IntegrateCRM platforms (ideally Salesforce)into architectural frameworks
  • Provide documentation ofdata flows, interfaces, and models
  • Empower self-service analytics and ad hoc data access for stakeholders
  • Influence data architecture maturity and drive adoption of best practices

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Have Experience:

  • SolidData Architecturebackground (not Data Engineering)
  • Proven experience working withcustomer dataandCRM systems
  • Strong understanding ofGDPR and data privacy impact assessments (DPIA)
  • Experience indata integration,ETL, anddata warehousing
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with tech, product, and business teams
  • Practical experience with tools likeSalesforceor Customer Data Platforms (CDPs)
  • Skilled at navigating complexdata governance, security, and compliance

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Data modellingskills (Irwin tool knowledge a plus)
  • Industry background inRetail,E-commerce,Utilities, orConsumer Banking
  • Familiarity withAzure(our estate) or other cloud ecosystems
  • Certifications such asCDMP,Azure/AWS Data Engineer
  • Knowledge ofdata visualisationtools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
