Overview

We are seeking a talented skilled Data Architect to support the design and implementation of a cross-government data architecture. This role contributes to the transformation of foundational data assets-such as address information-into trusted, high-quality, and reusable resources that support public service delivery, economic growth, and AI innovation. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a strategic transformation in how government data is managed and reused, enabling smarter services and innovation across the public sector.


Responsibilities

  • Support the development of scalable data architecture for high-value data assets.
  • Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to align data architecture with user needs.
  • Contribute to data governance and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Promote interoperability and use of open standards across systems.
  • Ensure ethical and secure data management practices.
  • Assist in enabling data accessibility for AI and analytics use cases

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:



  • 4yrs+ proven experience as a Data Architect.
  • Experience/knowledge in data architecture, modelling, and integration.
  • Knowledge of data governance and privacy-enhancing technologies.
  • Familiarity with interoperability standards and semantic data models.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical).
  • Databases: SQL & NoSQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Data warehousing & ETL/ELT tools.
  • Big data (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • APIs & integrations.

Preferred Skills

  • Data Certifications
  • Experience with government or foundational data assets.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native data platforms and federated data models.
  • Understanding of AI/ML data requirements.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA).
  • Familiarity with Data Federation and Cached Services
  • Familiarity with Data pipeline (Series of steps that move and transform data from one source to another for analyses and storage)
  • Experience with Dell Data Lakehouse administration.
  • Experience in Demand Driven Adaptive Enterprise (DDAE) administration ?

  • This position may require evening and weekend work for time-sensitive project implementations.
