The Group Architecture team drives the development of a clear target state architecture for Deutsche Bank, together with the governance processes, supporting tools, standards and frameworks required to deliver this. This requires strong collaboration and buy-in across Deutsche Bank, working closely with federated business, infrastructure and CDI teams.

The Data Architecture team working in Group Architecture plays an important role in the delivery of the Data components of the IT strategy, defining the Data Architecture roadmap and standards and identifying opportunities for technology such as Cloud and AI.

Your key responsibilities

  • Leading a key part of the Data Architecture team within Group Architecture, providing strategy guidance, best practice design for the enterprise and mentorship of the team.
  • Defining and driving the data architecture standards and requirements for AI that need to be enabled and used.
  • Identifying and supporting the creation of AI use cases focused on delivery of the data architecture strategy, data governance tooling and deployment of a mesh architecture.
  • Collaborating across the CIO Solution/Domain/Data architecture teams to design and develop enterprise-level solutions that align with business objectives, data strategies, and architectural principles.
  • Working with the technology teams to drive the design of the target architecture, develop architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and implementation plans for data-centric projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity.
  • Conducting architecture reviews and assessments to identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Your skills and experience

  • Background in architecture, with experience either across front office Business Divisions or Risk, Finance, and Treasury systems within Financial Services.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and deploying AI tooling architectures and use cases.
  • Understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, and data integration.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable and secure enterprise solutions, considering performance, reliability, and security aspects, leveraging detailed data modelling and data architecture skills with Data Mesh and Data Product patterns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Experience on large-scale data-centric projects within a regulated environment in the definition and implementation of the target architecture of the Enterprise.
