I'm working with a leading UK business that’s investing heavily in transforming its IT and digital landscape. As part of this journey, we’re hiring two Data Architects to help shape and deliver a modern, scalable Data & AI strategy.


This is a hybrid role, with time split between home and offices in Burton-on-Trent.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Shape and deliver enterprise Data & AI architecture across major change programmes.
  • Develop and maintain alignment with enterprise data principles, standards, and methodologies.
  • Build conceptual and physical data models optimised for operational and analytical use.
  • Collaborate with Data Stewards, Analysts, and SMEs to define and ratify reference data.
  • Ensure data definitions align to enterprise models and are adhered to on transformation programmes.
  • Work closely with technology teams to implement physical schemas in Data & Analytics solutions.
  • Define policies and standards for data usage, storage, management, and integration.
  • Support the development of common data platforms (ideally Azure or Databricks).
  • Provide quality assurance and contribute to technical standards and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Passion for data, AI, and modern architecture frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Skilled in data modelling tools and reverse engineering.
  • Broad understanding of tech disciplines including hosting, networking, and security.
  • Experience in Retail, Hospitality or FMCG is a bonus.
