The Role

As aData Architect, you will be responsible for the design and building of Data Architecture. You should be well versed with cloud solutions, and be able to create and manage data models, data streaming, and data governance and security.


Your responsibilities:

  • Working as part of an Agile team of Architects and Engineers, cultivating collaboration through your extensive experience and influence.
  • Using data technology expertise to identify opportunities to unlock its value to the business.
  • Deliver the best technical solutions for complex or significant business needs, where no precedent may exist.
  • Ensure compliance with IT architecture design and all regulatory, mandatory and statutory requirements.
  • Run and chair technical design meetings to achieve purposeful outcomes, active involvement in architecture and design governance.
  • Participate in risk management, using it to influence change planning and delivery.


Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Strong software engineering and architecture background.
  • Extensive understanding of modern software development practices and exploiting data in a complex enterprise.
  • Previous experience with Enterprise Architecture principles and strategy.
  • Excellent knowledge of the data technology of complex enterprise systems, modern cloud-hosted data solutions, integration patterns, DevOps, and data and event stream technologies.
  • Working experience with in-house and vender-written applications.
  • Experience working on multiple products simultaneously and understanding the relationships between them.
  • Understanding of risk management concepts and how to factor this into work prioritization models
  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture principles and data strategy.
  • Experience with risk, infrastructure, resilience, and security architecture practices and concerns.
  • Skilled in API design and architecture patterns.
  • Working experience with Public & Private Cloud Solutions, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, from end-users to senior stakeholders.


Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Understanding of Authentication and Authorisation concepts.
  • Knowledgeable of Solution Architecture.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure, and security architecture practices and concerns.
  • Previous working experience in architecture and design governance.
  • Multi cloud knowledge of Azure AWS and GCP added advantage.
  • Proficiency in delivery of microservices to Production.
