I am currently representing Westminster Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Data Architect this role will be: Hybrid SW1E6QP

The right candidate will:

Westminster City Council is seeking a skilled Data Architect to support our strategic “Planning Horizons” workstream. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of our Town Planning department by shaping the future of our data architecture.

You will play a pivotal role in reverse engineering the current data model of our IDOX Uniform system and designing a future-state architecture that aligns with our organizational goals and planning processes.

  • Immerse yourself in the Town Planning department to understand current workflows and data usage.

  • Reverse engineer the As-Is physical data model of the IDOX Uniform system.

  • Design the To-Be conceptual and physical data models that reflect ideal organisational processes.

  • Develop a comprehensive data dictionary/catalog.

  • Map data integration points and data flows across systems.

  • Document data lineage and support the implementation of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between data architecture and business needs.

    We require the following:

  • Proven experience in data modelling (dimensional, data vault).

  • Experience with business process mapping and aligning data models to organisational workflows.

  • Familiarity with IDOX Uniform or similar planning systems.
