Data Architect role at TieTalent — Remote, Manchester. 525 p/d inside | 3 months + extensions. We’re seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to join a high-profile government programme, helping to shape and deliver enterprise-level data architecture that underpins critical public services.

The Role: You’ll define and maintain enterprise data architecture, lead data modelling and governance across multiple platforms, and ensure solutions meet both business and technical requirements. This role will have a strong focus on data quality and alignment with government frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain enterprise data architecture aligned with organisational strategy.
  • Lead data modelling, integration, and governance across multiple platforms and services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business and technical needs.
  • Drive data quality, metadata management, and interoperability across systems.
  • Support the development of data standards and policies in line with government frameworks.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Architect in public sector environments (DWP, HMRC, NHS, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of data integration, data modelling, and data governance.
  • Familiarity with government digital service standards and DDaT capability frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable
  • Experience in financial services or working with financial data.
  • Knowledge of open data standards, API-driven architectures, and semantic data models.
  • Familiarity with data ethics, privacy, and security frameworks in government.
