The Team:

The Data Analytic team comprises of data analysts and data scientists working across CDP to deliver innovative data products and data analytical services for internal and external stakeholders including Marketing & Comms, Customer Success, Data Sales, Capital Markets, Cities, States and Regions and Supply Chain clients. Alongside the team, you will help develop and deliver exciting and impactful insights projects as well as support day-to-day operations via servicing of ad-hoc requests from across the organisation.

About this role:

The BI Squad Lead works closely with stakeholders from across the organization including finance, marketing, comms, commercial, operations and technology. Along with a squad of data analysts you will develop and deliver impactful metrics and insights to help CDP make strong decisions. The BI lead applies their leadership skills alongside their technical competencies to orchestrate and operationalise single source of truth self-service analytics and KPI solutions. A proven ability to work with and manage multiple stakeholders and projects at once as well as stellar communication skills will be key to succeeding in this role.

What you will do:


  • Lead and manage the Data Analytics - Business Intelligence squad.
  • Create impactful data visuals and insights using Power BI
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define, prioritise and manage insights requirements
  • Develop cloud-based scripts and pipelines using SQL, PySpark & Notebooks.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of data feeding into the metrics, KPIs and dashboards
  • Keep overview of skills and areas for improvement across squad and wider Data Analytics team and ensure appropriate allocation of work
  • Provide clear growth and development trajectories to direct reports
  • Plan/manage features and the backlog
  • Actively contribute to an effective, engaged and communicative team, clear on its purpose and contribution
  • Ensuring a respectful, inclusive and collaborative workplace

We’re looking for:


  • Background in business intelligence and data lead roles providing high impact data analytics and business insights across multiple business segments
  • Exemplary and demonstrable people and project management experience
  • Expert data visualisation skills and experience developing semantic models and dashboards with PowerBI or similar BI tools
  • Advance coding capabilities in SQL, Python, PySpark and Notebooks
  • Experience working with cloud computing in Azure or similar platforms.Impeccable communication skills in English – to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Experience working with cloud computing in Azure Synapse or similar platforms
  • Applied experience with CRM tools and marketing automation tools
  • Capable of working collaboratively with Git and DevOps
  • Impeccable communication skills in English – to technical and non-technical audiences alike
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Great attention to detail and commitment to achieving high standards is essential.

Desirable


  • A background working with customer segmentation is considered a big plus

The salary banding for this role is £59,000 - £71,000

This is a hybrid role, candidates will need to live within a commutable distance of the London office and be comfortable with 2 days in the office per week.
