Join JLR as a Data Analyst – Drive the Future with Insight!

We’re looking for a talented and curious Data Analyst to join our Propulsion Data Analytics & Prognostics Chapter – a team at the heart of innovation, where data meets engineering excellence. If you’re passionate about turning complex data into meaningful insights and want to help shape the future of automotive technology, this could be your next move.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with engineers across Propulsion and beyond, helping to uncover trends, solve real-world problems, and enhance the performance of our powertrain systems. From analysing vehicle data to building visualisations that tell compelling stories, your work will directly support the development of smarter, more efficient vehicles for our customers.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting the wider team through a range of responsibilities, including – 

Identify and understand the data needs of stakeholders to ensure effective analysis and insight delivery


Apply statistical techniques to produce accurate, reliable results, accounting for varying data quality, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders
Design and develop data visualisations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau to support data-driven decision-making
Uphold customer privacy and data protection standards throughout all stages of data extraction, transformation & analysis
Contribute to knowledge sharing and the continuous improvement of the team’s technical capabilities
Collaborate with the wider JLR data community to stay aligned with the latest tools, technologies, and best practices
Operate within the Squad’s Agile framework, actively participating in ceremonies and following agreed ways of working

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We’re looking for someone with the right blend of experience, qualifications, and practical skills, including – 

Strong experience in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and process automation


Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Proficient in Data Engineering and Orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Glue or Dataform
Skilled in creating impactful data visualisations using Tableau, Power BI or Python
Background in engineering sectors such as automotive, aerospace, or transport
