Our Marketing Data Storytelling program transforms complex retail data into meaningful insights that resonate with the public, industry professionals, and media. Through aggregated data analysis, we uncover trends, benchmarks, and unique insights about ecommerce search and product discovery, providing valuable information to the broader retail and technology communities.

As a Data Analyst in this team, you will collaborate with marketers, data scientists, and engineers to derive actionable insights from large datasets and translate them into engaging reports, blog posts, and thought leadership pieces that showcase the impact of Constructor’s technology in the ecommerce space.

Challenges You Will Tackle

  • Analyze aggregated retailer data to identify key trends and benchmarks in ecommerce search, merchandising, personalization and other aspects of product discovery.
  • Work with the content team to develop compelling data-driven narratives to support Constructor’s marketing initiatives, including blog posts, white papers, and industry reports.
  • Work closely with the marketing and content teams to translate analytical findings into accessible and visually appealing data visualizations and insights.
  • Identify patterns in search and discovery behaviors across industries to help inform retailers and industry professionals.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that highlight industry benchmarks and Constructor’s impact.
  • Partner with internal data science and engineering teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data used for storytelling initiatives.

Requirements

  • You have a strong ability to analyze and interpret large datasets, uncovering meaningful trends and insights.
  • You are proficient in SQL and experienced in using Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn) for exploratory data analysis and data visualization. Big plus is practical familiarity with the big data stack (Spark, Presto/Athena, Hive).
  • You have experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Google Data Studio) to create compelling visual representations of data.
  • You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear and engaging narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You are familiar with statistics, A/B testing, and data storytelling principles.
  • A strong understanding of the ecommerce space, including search, personalization, and merchandising trends is preferred.
  • You are proactive and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Stack: Athena/Presto, Python (notebooks), Databricks, Google Analytics, BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
