Data Analyst - Insurance

Location: Croydon + London (4 days in Croydon + 1 day in London)

Salary: £45,000 + bonus + benefits


Job Summary

The role offers extensive exposure to business processes, systems, and collaboration with highly skilled professionals. The primary focus of the Data Analyst role is to design, develop, and optimize SQL solutions to address business needs.


Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for effective data retrieval, reporting, and manipulation.

- Analyse and enhance database performance using indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.

- Collaborate with third-party vendors to integrate effective data solutions, reducing manual data processing.

Automate database tasks such as data imports/exports and scheduled jobs to improve workflow efficiency.

- Perform data analysis and provide insights using SQL, Python, and Power Platform.


Tech Stack

The data infrastructure is fully cloud-based, utilising an Azure SQL data warehouse that combines data from various sources. Reporting tools include the Power Platform and Excel, with plans for future integration of Python, GIS, and other technologies to enhance data solutions.


Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:1) in a numerate field.

- At least 2 years of experience in SQL.

- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
