We are seeking a highly skilled and versatileData Analystto take on a pivotal role in our company. As a data analyst at Olus, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the way Olus delivers data projects to its clients and influence our growth in this area. You will be responsible for leading a wide range of data projects and collaborating closely with colleagues and clients to deliver impactful and insightful results.

The legal sector is undergoing a radical transformation as digital technologies are changing the way lawyers work. There is no requirement to have worked in the legal sector, however the role requires strong communication skills to facilitate successful projects in environments where clients may not be experienced in data analysis. As well as being highly skilled in data science the successful applicant must also have a passion for sharing and coaching others in this field. The role is advertised as full-time but part-time applicants will also be considered.

In this role, you will:

  • Communicate through Data: Create beautiful and compelling visual representations of data, including intuitive interactive dashboards, which support others in understanding their data and finding actionable insights
  • Lead Development Projects:Develop data extraction and storage solutions in complex multi-national organisations which are innovative, scalable and resilient
  • Ownership and Responsibility: Act as primary custodian for all data assets, ensuring integrity, security, and accessibility, and troubleshooting any issues or faults which arise
  • Trend Analysis:Develop advanced analytical methods which interrogate datasets to uncover trends and offer predictive analysis
  • Continuous Improvement:Stay current with the latest technologies and data techniques, leveraging cutting-edge tools to elevate our data solutions.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: As the team grows, provide mentorship and guidance to other team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, and dynamic environment, and is passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems for large enterprises. Your ability to adapt to new challenges and technologies will be crucial in driving our success.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of industry experience in a similar role which involved data analysis, visualisation and data management
  • Skilled in technologies such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI Experience of specialist visualisation technologies, such as Vega, advantageous.
  • A portfolio of data visualisations and dashboards which highlights skills in using data to communicate effectively
  • Creative and design skills necessary for producing engaging visualisations, and excellent attention to detail
  • Curious and perseverant mindset to solve business challenges and continuously push for growth and innovation
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
