About the role

Benefact Group, are looking for aData Analyst - Climate to join our Gloucester office.

As Data Analyst - Climateyou will gather, analyse and report data relating to our Group Climate Impact strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders throughout the businesses to gather and challenge data in line with the group strategy
  • Establish internal and external data sources and reporting mechanisms
  • Own and establish annual process of data gathering and reporting
  • Report on business area and overall emissions including changes and report back to relevant stakeholders
  • Gather data and insight to demonstrate impact from assured and charitable projects
  • Critical appraisal of data which balance time, cost and quality leading to recommendations for the optimal solution
  • Tailored presentation of data and recommendations to stakeholders within different operational areas and different levels of seniority for maximum engagement
  • Preparation of appropriate documentation to progress data deliverables
  • Assist with Group and business-wide data understanding through developing collateral documents 
  • High quality production of data analysis and reporting

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced data environment and with high levels of ambiguity
  • Great team player with experience
  • Good understanding of best practice in data management, quality and governance
  • Enquiring mind and problem solver with good business acumen
  • Good working knowledge of reporting and regulation
  • Proven experience in gathering, analysing, mapping and documenting complex data requirements in a structured way
  • Able to balance the documentation requirements with an approach which ensures business comprehension
  • Good stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills with contacts with people from a variety of backgrounds
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience of delivering presentations
  • Flexibility and willingness to implement new techniques which help in analysing data requirements and achieving a step change in business data capabilities 
  • Ideally experience of the climate/charitable industry or similar
  • Good understanding of the value of data, what it means to be a data-driven organisation and how it is evidenced
