Data Analyst – Leading Fintech Company – Horsham, West Sussex – Up to 50k plus bens


Stratospherec are delighted to be working on behalf of a leading FinTech company based in Horsham in West Sussex seeking a SQL Data Analyst to join its team. This is a fantastic time to join this growing company as the success of its innovative SaaS technology solutions continue to disrupt the FinTech sector, enabling it to invest in its talented people and technology.


This SQL Data Analyst role will be predominantly office based 4 to 5 days a week and will offer significant career progression for an ambitious Data Analyst with at least 2 years commercial experience of SQL who will be tasked with taking ownership of the company’s customer data requirements via its SQL reporting suite, as well as creating dashboards and using visual tools to convert data sources across the business into meaningful management information to enable it to make strategic informed decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of all data, reporting requirements and requests for the business
  • Gathering, understanding and documenting detailed customer requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Building standard and customer reports to meet customer needs as well as building, monitoring and maintaining reports for the management, sales and marketing teams
  • Setting up and maintaining automated data processes
  • Creating dashboards and visual tools with ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret complex data presenting it to the users in a clear format
  • Analyzing data and creating meaningful outputs for board level review
  • Monitor and audit data quality and encourage the adoption of a data driven culture within the business


Skills and experience

  • At least 2 years’ SQL experience ideally in a FinTech or a financial services environment such as mortgage or investment services
  • Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • At least 2 years commercial Data Analyst experience
  • Exceptional numerical skills with strong SQL and excel skills including data cleaning, formatting, text manipulation, lookup formulas, pivot tables and macros
  • Ability to communicate findings through clear visual, written and verbal communication to colleagues, external partners and stakeholders
  • Power BI desirable but not essential


This Data Analyst role is offering a starting salary of up to 50K plus significant career progression for an ambitious self-starter looking to progress their career in data analysis within Fintech.
