Job Description

• Job Title:Data Analyst
• Reporting to:General Manager

Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for sourcing, processing, and analysing data related to operations to derive actionable insights and identify opportunities. This role supports the delivery of core operational metrics, including cost, efficiency, service level delivery, and inventory accuracy.

The role involves undertaking projects to improve data visibility and utilisation within the operation, supporting key projects and improvements. It requires an understanding of operational processes, strong numerical and logical reasoning skills, and technical skills to acquire, process, manipulate, and analyse large datasets.

Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Leveraging analytical thinking to draw actionable insights from various data sources, including presenting findings to stakeholders and senior leaders.
2. Implementing data visualisation software to create operations dashboards.
3. Building reporting dashboards across projects and key metrics.
4. Developing numerical models for operational use, such as performance reports, forecasting, and planning.
5. Conducting data and process deep dives with operational leaders to address complex issues.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience:

• Operational experience required; D2C/Warehousing experience is highly beneficial.
• Proficient in Python for data analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience navigating large database architectures.
• Expertise in Excel, including Macros and VBA.
• Structured and thorough approach to data analysis and presentation.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and similar.
• Proven ability to derive actionable insights from large datasets.
• Experience with analytical methods like statistical analysis, process mapping, regression, and hypothesis testing.
• Skilled in creating PowerPoint presentations to communicate results and insights.
