Data Analyst - Automation Consultant

£ - £ per day (inside IR35)

London – Onsite 3 days a week

Overview:

As a Automation and Data Analytics Consultant at Emagine, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing analytic and automation solutions tailored to extract, transform, load, analyze, and visualize GMO-related datasets for our investment banking partner. Leveraging a suite of digital tools including Alteryx, PowerBI, Python, and more, you will drive improvements in efficiency, standardization, and scalability while enhancing the end-user experience.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement analytic and automation solutions to enhance current processes.

Develop ETL scripts and processes utilizing Alteryx, SQL, Python, and VBA to extract data from diverse sources.

Interact with internal Reference Data and Trading systems using native Python libraries, GraphQL, or REST API methodologies.

Blend and normalize data by implementing business rules and financial controls.

Create reports and visual dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.

Participate in analytics as a service engagements and investigations, understanding enterprise data and collaborator needs.

Enhance business analysis using digital tools, understanding GMO workflows, processes, controls, and data requirements.

Deliver updates to key stakeholders and manage meetings with regional and global stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Requirements:

Strong data analysis skills with excellent oral and written communication abilities.

2+ Years relevant financial services experience

5+ years of prior experience in data analytics or development capacity.

Experience with Agile-Scrum methodology for project delivery.

Prior consulting experience in various client environments is advantageous.

In-depth understanding of the financial industry, regulations, and best practices, especially in the context of risk management.
