Data Analyst Associate (Business Analyst Team) – Full Time, Hybrid – London


Overview

Convera is seeking a Data Analyst Associate with a primary focus on leveraging data, analytics and a technical skill set to support a variety of initiatives across Convera's business. You will be reporting into the Instrumentation team who are responsible for the transformation of our data, reporting and analytics, as well as the roll out of data products and machine learning models. You will have the opportunity to learn from a cross functional team of analysts and data scientists.


Responsibilities

  • Owning the end-to-end delivery of analytical models in SQL and/or Python to generate actionable data driven insights and recommendations across Convera’s business.
  • Developing automated data products to consistently drive effective insights and measurable results at scale.
  • The design, build and maintenance of high-quality dashboards, KPIs and visualisations to evaluate business performance.
  • Supporting performance optimisation across the business by sharing data, analytical expertise, and subject matter knowledge.
  • Working with other Instrumentation and technology teams to ensure that relevant data, reporting and KPIs are available within the data warehouse for organisation wide consumption.

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical/ quantitative field.
  • 2- 3 years of professional experience in an analytical role(s), preferably in a B2B and/or payments environment.
  • Experience with SQL for extracting and manipulating data from internal databases to develop complex analytical models.
  • Experience with Python and its relevant libraries for data manipulation and analysis is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in leveraging Python to acquire data from external sources using APIs and/or web-scraping is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools and techniques (e.g., Tableau).
  • Demonstrable ability to clearly and concisely summarise complex concepts into consumable content (e.g., in PowerPoint) for a wide audience including senior leadership.
  • A creative approach to problem-solving with a growth mindset, actively and intuitively seeking ways to identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically about a quickly growing business alongside the interest and ability to dive into tactical details.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use research, hard data and metrics to challenge assumptions and solve problems.
