Our Data Analyst apprentices work across Amazons diverse business lines from Operations to Finance and Retail. You'll dive into vast datasets uncover patterns and turn insights into actions that drive real-world change. Your analysis could help reduce delivery times optimise processes drive innovation in technology improve sustainability or enhance customer satisfaction. This is more than analysing numbers its about telling stories through data solving complex problems and improving the customer experience at scale.


Key job responsibilities

Throughout your apprenticeship you'll develop in-demand technical and professional skills including how to :



  • Analyse and interpret data to generate actionable insights
  • Design data models and manage databases efficiently
  • Ensure data security and compliance with legal standards
  • Collaborate across teams to solve business problems
  • Create reports and visualisations that bring data to life
  • Stay up to date with the latest tools and technologies

Over 42 months you’ll combine hands‑on experience with academic study working towards a BSc (Hons) in Digital & Technology Solutions (Data Analyst pathway). From day one you’ll be part of a supportive team that values curiosity innovation and continuous learning. You’ll start by mastering the foundations of data analysis and progress to tackling advanced analytics tasks. One day you might be optimising delivery routes the next you could be building dashboards or modelling forecasts that shape strategic direction. You’ll spend 80% of your time learning on the job and 20% completing formal study supported by your training provider and your Amazon manager. Together they’ll guide your progress and help you achieve your goals.

  • To qualify for this programme you must :
  • Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026)
  • Have the right to live and work in England (if you are on a visa this needs to enable you to legally work and reside in England for the entire duration of the program).
  • Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
  • Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2026 or later
  • Have at least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above including Maths and English
  • 2 A Level passes in 1 or more similar subject OR Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject OR International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in a similar subject OR BTEC Extended Diploma in a similar subject.
  • Please note if you have received educational qualifications outside of the UK then we will require a Statement of Comparability to confirm your eligibility for the scheme. Please ensure you obtain one during the application process through UK ENIC : Previous qualifications will be reviewed for funding eligibility and offers are subject to funding approval
  • PLEASE NOTE : This position is a 42 month fixed‑term contract. You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship.
  • This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has some or little knowledge / experience of the occupation
  • Ideal applicants will already possess a solid foundation of knowledge within the IT field. They will have a passion for data analysis as well as be able to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook Excel and Word.
