The Role – Data Analyst (Broking)

An exciting opportunity to join an innovative Lloyd's of London insurance broker based in the City of London. You will be part of our Data Analyst team, leveraging our data warehouse and real-time data capture capabilities to build solutions that deliver data analytics to internal teams, clients, and the London and Company Insurance Markets. The role requires a passion for data accuracy and efficiency, working within the Information Technology department and closely with the Broking team to support performance enhancement and business placement.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and present statistical and data analysis related to business performance for Underwriters and Clients.
  • Review and assess data to ensure accuracy and currency.
  • Collaborate with Underwriters and Clients to improve business performance.
  • Assist the Chief Broking Officer and Head of Broking in achieving departmental goals.
  • Lead small projects and undertake special tasks as assigned.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet data and reporting needs.
  • Report data issues promptly.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and build analytical prototypes to enhance capabilities.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Broker/Data Analytics within London or Company Insurance Market.
  • Degree with numerical/computing components or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and team experience.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is desirable.
  • CII certification is advantageous.

This is a permanent position with a salary dependent on experience.
