Your opportunity:

To join the Investment Data Strategy & Solutions Team - tasked with leading the data analysis on the components of strategic projects associated with the investment community. The Investment Data Strategy & Solutions Team is part of the Investment Management Chief Operating Officer Office (IM COO) working within Investment Management Identify and analyse data attributes within JHI (Janus Henderson International) systems and document the impact proposed by change through projects or initiatives. Create functional requirements documents detailing current state and proposed changes and be able to clearly articulate these to impacted teams. Liaise with Technology teams, clearly communicating the development changes required for delivery and overseeing testing and sign off with business users. Generate appropriate business requirements, documents, workflows, and process maps. Analyse the usage of core and non-core data, identify opportunities to optimise or align with strategic solutions. Work with centralised Data Management teams to ensure that efforts in the Investment Management community work in synergy with those teams. Creation of repeatable data testing frameworks to ensure requirements built to your specification meet the necessary standards. Facilitate requirements gathering meetings. Leverage emerging technology and techniques to achieve your work goals in a timely manner. Liaise with stakeholders and ensure regular communications with the business, technology, and data teams. Collaborate with Data Architects to ensure all change is clearly documented by updating of conceptual and logical models and ensuring data catalogues, definitions and lineage is all aligned. Carry out other duties as assigned.

Must have skills:

Experience of working on large scale data transformation projects in a Technical Business Analyst or Data Analyst role. Experience of working within a data team or dealing with processing large amounts of data. Experience does not need to be in the Asset Management industry. Experience writing & implementing business requirements, process maps, and user stories. Good stakeholder management skills. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Strong SQL & Python (Pandas) skills. Experience with process mapping software applications: Visio, Lucid Charts etc. Strong technical aptitude. Analytical, structured, and logical in approach. Attention to detail and a delivery focused mind set. Organised & collaborative.

Nice to have skills:

Business knowledge: Asset Management, Equity, Fixed Income, OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives, Fund Management, Security Analytics, Client Reporting, Performance Measurement and Regulatory reporting. Previous finance experience, especially middle and back-office processes. ‘Big data’ analysis experience preferred. Methodologies: Agile. Machine Learning skills preferred. Systems: Charles River Development, S&P EDM (formerly CADIS), EAGLE Scientific, Mathematical or Computer Science degree or equivalent.
