About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Analyst with experience in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy building, site analysis, and business intelligence, helping us derive actionable insights to drive strategic decisions and optimise our pricing/wetstock models. This role also requires strong business partnering skills, as the analyst will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the business and provide key support to the in-country operations team.

Reporting into the Head of Fuel, this position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve fuel management issues, and contribute to system optimisations. What you’ll be doing:
  • Analyse fuel data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support pricing and business objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise Power BI dashboards and Excel reports to deliver clear, actionable insights on fuel performance and market trends.
  • Use SQL and Python for data extraction, processing, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance pricing competitiveness.
  • Conduct site and market analysis to determine optimal pricing strategies and improve profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align analytical solutions and pricing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Monitor fuel levels, deliveries, consumption, and variances using automated wet stock systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide senior management and operations teams with data-driven insights, forecasts, and visual reports to support decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through robust validation and quality checks.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve data processes, reporting efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
  • Present findings and lead discussions with stakeholders in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.

What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in an analytical role, such as strategy development, market analysis, or business performance.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (or similar BI tools) for building dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets.
  • Experience with Python for data manipulation and automation is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis or machine learning concepts is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Effective collaborator with strong business partnering skills and experience supporting operations teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
