What is great is the people and the opportunity to progress and developRoleAs Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing analytics and AI forecasting tools to enhance inventory and materials planning capabilities. You will work across departments, turning complex data sets into actionable insights using Power BI, Advanced Excel, and ERP platforms like SAP or Oracle.You’ll also be involved in pioneering the development of AI tools for predictive analytics and forecasting, contributing to smarter decision-making and improved operational efficiency.A visible role within the organisation throughout the UK, Europe and Internationally working closely with senior management and board level stakeholders.Key Responsibilities * Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools * Develop AI-driven forecasting models to support demand for inventory, and production planning. * Working closely with the purchasing, sales, and operations to ensure adequate supply of materials to meet the demand. * Identify opportunities for process improvement in demand planning and forecasting methodologies. * Work with large data sets in excel. Builds and manages data sets/modelling records. * Extract and manipulate operational data from SAP or Oracle ERP systems. * Collaborate with planning, procurement, and operations to ensure alignment of analytics with business goals. * Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and present actionable insights to stakeholders. * Document data processes and create reusable tools and templates for continuous improvement.Requirements * Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in a manufacturing, production, engineering or supply chain environment. * Strong hands-on expertise in Power Bi * Advanced Excel skills – Power Query, complex formulas, VBA/macros. * Familiarity with AI tools or platforms for forecasting * Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.Nice to Have * Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems – reporting, data extraction, and integration. * Understanding of production or material planning workflows. * Experience with SQL or Python for data analysisBeam Recruit is a specialist consultancy based in Liverpool covering vacancies in the Northwest.A note from usWe get so many applications that in some instances we are unable to offer individual feedback.
