About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with deep expertise in Power BI, DAX, and data pipeline development to lead the creation of high-impact dashboards and analytics for our real estate investment and finance teams.

You will play a key role in translating complex data from investment performance, capital projects, operational activity, and financial KPIs into intuitive, actionable dashboards that inform decision-making across the business.

This is a hands-on position that blends technical skill with business insight and data storytelling. Experience with Python, web-based dashboards, or AI-driven analytics is a strong advantage, as we continue modernising our analytics infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

Design, build, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards across business functions such as investment management, finance, asset management, and operations.

Collaborate closely with teams including finance, investment, portfolio management, investor relations, and operations to understand reporting needs and deliver effective visual solutions.

Develop robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Python, and others to consolidate data from systems like property management platforms, financial databases, and Excel models.

Design and manage data lakes and structured layers (raw, staged, curated) for optimal accessibility and performance.

Model and structure data for efficient use in self-service BI tools and downstream applications.

Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across the warehouse and analytics layers.

Leverage SQL and platforms like Azure Synapse to support real-time and periodic reporting.

Apply data storytelling techniques to highlight trends, surface insights, and communicate key risks and performance drivers.

Integrate dashboards with workflows using Power Apps, Power Automate, and API-based systems to enhance interactivity and intelligence.

Maintain strong data governance, ensuring that reporting solutions are secure, well-structured, and scalable.

Partner with the North American Technology team to align on global best practices and local implementation across Europe.

What We’re Looking For

Required – Technical Skills:

Strong experience designing complex dashboards in Power BI using DAX, calculated columns, bookmarks, and drill-through capabilities.

Proficient in SQL and experienced with data warehousing platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery).

Advanced Python skills for data wrangling, automation, and integration with analytics workflows.

Expertise in building and troubleshooting ETL/ELT pipelines using ADF, dbt, or equivalent solutions.

Strong understanding of data architecture, including dimensional modeling, star schemas, and performance tuning.

Hands-on experience working with data lakes, designing layered storage (raw, staged, curated) for analytical use.

Required – Interpersonal & Business Skills:

Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders, gather requirements, and iterate on dashboards to ensure adoption and usability.

A proactive communicator who collaborates across teams and identifies opportunities to improve data processes and visibility.

Business acumen and comfort navigating complex, corporate environments with evolving priorities.

A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can independently prioritize tasks to drive data initiatives forward.

A curious and innovative mindset with a passion for continuous learning and leveraging emerging technologies.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with web-based dashboarding (e.g., React, Plotly, Dash, or similar frameworks).

Experience using AI/ML tools for forecasting, anomaly detection, or natural language querying in BI contexts.

In-depth knowledge of real estate investment and financial KPIs such as IRR, NOI, CapEx, tenancy schedules, and occupancy.

Prior experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, or API integrations for enhanced workflow automation.

What Success Looks Like

Your dashboards are essential tools for investment committees, executive planning, and operational reviews.

You proactively improve dashboard performance, usability, and automation, reducing manual reporting.

You raise the organisation’s data maturity, moving teams toward self-service analytics and strategic storytelling.

You play a key role in shaping the firm's data culture by engaging stakeholders, improving data literacy, and expanding adoption of data tools.

How to Find Hidden Data Science Jobs in the UK Using Professional Bodies like the RSS, BCS & More

The data science job market in the UK is thriving—but also increasingly competitive. As organisations in finance, healthcare, retail, government, and tech accelerate digital transformation, the demand for data talent has soared. Yet many of the best data science jobs are never posted publicly. They’re shared behind closed doors—within professional networks, at invite-only events, or through member-only mailing lists and specialist interest groups. These “hidden” roles are often filled through referrals, collaborations, or direct outreach to trusted experts. In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock these hidden opportunities by engaging with key UK professional bodies such as the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT), and Turing Society, plus communities like PyData and AI UK. You’ll learn how to use directories, CPD events, and networks to move beyond job boards—and into roles where you’re approached, not just applying.
