Commercial MI Analyst– 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Glasgow (Hybrid Working)

Salary up to £48,000 (DOE)


An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial MI Analyst to join a leading organisation in the utilities sector on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will play a key part in delivering critical business insights and board-level reporting to support strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll focus on report automation, performance analysis, and continuous improvement of commercial reporting processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate, insightful board-level reports and commercial analysis
  • Automate reporting processes using tools like Power BI, SQL, and Excel
  • Develop dashboards to monitor performance and support decision-making
  • Analyse commercial data to inform pricing, forecasting, and cost management
  • Collaborate with teams across finance, operations, and sales
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, providing clear, data-driven insights
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and adopt best practices


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Analyst or MI Analyst, ideally within utilities or energy
  • Strong skills in Power BI, SQL, and advanced Excel
  • Experience automating board-level reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset


Our client offers a salary up to £48,000 (DOE), within a modern office based in Glasgow on a hybrid working basis.
