Referment is working closely with a multi-strategy Hedge Fund who have an impressive

suite of systems using bleeding-edge technology that is used by analysts, quant researchers,

data scientists and portfolio managers across the firm globally. They have a brand-new role

within this team for a Senior Software Engineer to work within their Credit team focussing

on building Portfolio Management systems.

This role will involve full lifecycle development of Greenfield systems, architectural, testing

and product ownership of systems. You will be tasked with building and maintaining credit

analytics and trading infrastructures and balancing using the best development practices

combined with time-to-market release of systems for business user needs. Strong

communication skills are essential as you’ll be working with a variety of software

engineering teams and liaising with business users.

This role will see you work on distributed systems using Python, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker,

CI/CD pipelines, SQL, PostgreSQL and other OO languages is advantageous.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in software engineering
• A polyglot programmer with deep experience in Python
• Previously worked with Real-Time market data
• Experienced with AWS
• Strong distributed programming experience who has working experience with Kafka
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience
• A computer science degree or similar
• Has previously worked in Financial Services (not mandatory but helpful)
• Worked within Credit – Advantageous
