We are looking for an experienced Credit Review Officer to join our Banking Client on an initial 5 month contract based in the City of London.

£(Apply online only) per day Inside IR35 via an umbrella company

3 days onsite in City of London/ 2 days remote

5 months, extendable

Key Duties:



Determine obligor ratings based on the bank’s internal framework, submitting assessments for review and approval.

*

Create financial forecasts and conduct stress testing to assess the potential impact of adverse scenarios on client creditworthiness.

*

Analyze financial statements—including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports—to evaluate the financial stability and creditworthiness of corporate clients.

*

Conduct both qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, factoring in industry trends, market dynamics, and company-specific risks.

*

Update obligor ratings regularly in line with changes in client performance or market conditions.

*

Draft comprehensive credit proposals, including recommendations on credit limits, terms, and conditions.

*

Ensure all credit-related documentation is maintained accurately and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

*

Keep detailed records to support audits and ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed of rating changes.

*

Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of credit analysis and approval processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

*

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline preferred; professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are advantageous.

*

Prior experience as a credit or financial analyst, ideally within corporate banking or financial services.

*

Solid understanding of financial products including syndicated and bilateral loans, guarantees, derivatives, trade finance, and leasing.

*

Knowledge of legal documentation such as loan agreements, bond covenants, ISDAs, and credit support instruments.

*

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

*

Proven ability to produce high-quality credit documentation with accuracy and clarity
