Care Assistant - required for our luxury care home 'Selwood House' in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset, Part of the Country Court Family.

Hours: 44 Hours per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Times 0800-2000)

Selwood House Care Home located in Charlton Down near Dorchester accommodates up to 84 residents, and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater for various care needs. Specialising in residential care, dementia care, and short-term respite care, Selwood House will provide a warm welcome as soon as you set foot through the door.

ABOUT THE CARE ASSISTANT ROLE

Within the Care Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents' lives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping our residents with personal support and care
  • Aiding their emotional well-being and social needs
  • Supporting residents at meals time
  • Interacting with our residents on a personal level
  • Maintaining and developing the residents care plan to ensure their needs are met

ABOUT YOU

Our fantastic staff are at the heart of our homes & provide vital day-to-day support to our residents, so we would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to people's lives.

  • Be no stranger to working long shifts
  • Have good written & verbal communication skills
  • Able to engage well with the residents and their families
  • Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
  • Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential
  • Have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care or be willing to work towards this.
