Volantes Technical Recruitment is seeking a talented Business Transformation Specialist to join the business improvements team based in Oxford.

The Business Transformation Specialist is responsible for driving and supporting strategic change initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes, and support sustainable business growth. This role acts as a catalyst for transformation, working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze current practices, develop improvement strategies, and implement solutions that align with the organization’s long-term goals.

Main responsibilities:

Strategic Analysis and Planning:

  • Assess current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with senior management to define transformation goals and key performance indicators.

  • Develop detailed roadmaps and action plans for implementing strategic changes.

    Project Management:

  • Lead transformation projects from inception to completion, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of transformation initiatives.

  • Monitor project progress and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

    Change Management:

  • Facilitate effective change management practices, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.

  • Engage stakeholders across all levels to gain buy-in and support for new initiatives.

  • Conduct workshops to collaborate teams on new processes and technologies.

    Performance Improvement:

  • Analyse data to track performance metrics and the impact of transformation initiatives.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies.

  • Benchmark against internal and external best practices to drive competitive advantage.

    Communication and Reporting:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership.

  • Serve as a liaison between project teams and senior management, ensuring clear communication of objectives, progress, and challenges.

  • Maintain documentation of project processes, decisions, and outcomes.

    Knowledge and Skills

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and strategic thinking ability, enabling them to assess complex business processes and pinpoint opportunities for improvement.

  • Well-versed in project and change management, capable of leading cross-functional teams and implementing effective strategies with methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.

  • A high degree of technical proficiency in data analysis tools and business intelligence software, they can translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for engaging with diverse stakeholders and clearly articulating transformative ideas, while a creative problem-solving approach and adaptability ensure success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.

  • Understanding of key business metrics and KPIs, ensuring that data pipelines support decision-making.

  • Dashboard creation in Skywise ,Google Looker /other comparable software.

    Education, Qualifications or Training

    Essential

  • STEM HND

  • SC or higher clearance

    Desirable

  • Knowledge of airline and MRO operations.

  • Extensive business / industrial experience.

  • Lean belt green/black.

    Additional requirements

  • Due to the nature of this position you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.
