The Business Systems Support Analyst role offers the unique opportunity to work across our group, contributing to our continued success and growth. There will be a requirement to spend time across multiple sites in this role.
Role Summary: Working in the IT Business Team on continuous improvement, development, and introduction of new ways of working to ensure the business systems are as efficient and fit for purpose as possible. This will involve extensive usage of various systems across our role, but our ERP system (Prophet) will be a key feature in this, thus an understanding of SQL, Report Writing, and Business Intelligence tools are a must. Training and guidance will be provided on each of the specific applications. We are an expanding business and as such there will be a number of projects that this role will play a key part in the delivery of. There will be a requirement to spend time across multiple sites in this role.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with site teams to investigate opportunities to improve data capture, management, and visualisation with a view to developing more efficient processes.
  • Ensure a tight change control process is followed from start to finish, ensuring all parties are kept informed of progress throughout.
  • Take ownership of the data management of the ERP QC Inspection Sheets system, ensuring timely changes are documented and carried out at the customer’s request.
  • Assist with the implementation, oversight, and continued development of systems.
  • Provide comprehensive testing for ERP upgrades, taking ownership and refinement of the overall testing plan and supporting the subsequent upgrade, escalating to third parties if appropriate.
  • Document workflows and practices.
  • Test new workflows and implement them in conjunction with the wider team(s).
  • Capable of prioritising multiple projects with strict deadlines.
  • Deal with issues that have been escalated in a timely manner, liaising internally or with third parties where appropriate, ensuring the necessary urgency is given to each incident.
    This list is not exhaustive, and the job holder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the position as required.
    Qualifications and Skills:
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Prophet)
  • SQL querying is a must
  • An understanding of Business Intelligence tools (preferably Power BI)
  • An understanding of report writing (preferably Crystal Reports)
  • Working with and through end users and customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment
