New Balance has begun a strategic evolution in our approach to business intelligence within EMEA. This role, within the Transformation Team, will help facilitate this change by shaping the organisation's business intelligence strategy and ensuring data is leveraged to achieve business goals. You will collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and BI Champions to enable data-driven decision making across markets and functions in EMEA.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, BI tools, and cross-functional team leadership. You should be a results-oriented professional who turns data into actionable insights and has a track record of leading data-driven business success. Experience in managing or building BI capabilities is required; experience transitioning from a federated to hub-and-spoke BI operating model is beneficial. Some travel across the UK & Europe is expected. Hybrid working and flexible hours are offered to support work-life balance.

Major Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with technology teams and functions to define BI requirements and priorities, ensuring alignment with regional and BI objectives.
  • Lead the transition to the new operating model, chair the Business Intelligence governing board, and champion new ways of working.
  • Maintain consistency of KPIs, reports, and processes within EMEA.
  • Lead BI Champions, cascading information regarding rollout and roadmap.
  • Identify EMEA-specific BI requirements and ensure they are addressed by the Global BI strategy, driving governance alignment.
  • Train and promote BI tools and practices, creating engaging materials for global use.
  • Align BI initiatives with EMEA needs and regional nuances.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships and ensure adherence to global standards and practices for consistency and comparability.
  • Collaborate with BI Leads from other regions as the global operating model matures to share knowledge and develop the global template.
Requirements for Success
  • Degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, extract actionable insights, and understand statistical methods in data analysis.
  • Experience in the footwear/apparel/sports industries, digital commerce, or retail is desirable.
  • Experience in managing/building a BI capability and transitioning to a Hub-and-Spoke model.
  • Extensive experience implementing BI strategy, standardising analytics approaches, data methodologies, and mentoring analytics talent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact with all levels of the organization, especially senior leaders.
  • Strong presentation skills; creative and strategic thinking for improvements and new ideas.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities under tight timelines; detail-oriented and time management oriented.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (including Power BI and Spotfire) and current BI trends.
