We are looking for an innovative and technical person to join our team in the role of Business Intelligence Developer.

 

UK CMB Data & Analytics is building and transforming CMB Banking into a “data-driven” organisation that leads our competitors and inspires our employees. We are building a revolutionary data analytics ecosystem to generate business insights and provide great customer experience from well-managed and trusted data assets. The aim of UK CMB Data & Analytics is to unlock the potential of data by employing innovative technologies, advanced analytics which - coupled with our deep expertise - we will renovate our products, services and assets and deliver our 2024 BoW commitments. We deliver effective and reusable data assets at pace, providing valuable insights on a scalable and self-service platform, which supports and encourages a data-driven culture, to create competitive advantage, enhance risk controls and enable growth.

 In this role you will:

 

  • Leverage advanced analytical tools to design, shape and implement data-driven solutions and business intelligence dashboards / reports that enhance business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with your UK D&A peers and engage with senior stakeholders within the bank to discern business priorities, understand analytical needs to shape and bolster business strategies.
  • Utilise analytical solutions to extract information from a variety of data sources, translating data into comprehensible business language utilising visualisation platforms; Looker Core, Looker Studio and Qlik.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for projects, demonstrating keen business acumen and commercial insight.
  • Establish oneself as the Subject Matter Expert in the relevant area of expertise.
  • Manage the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of a collection of visualisation projects and reports.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships adeptly and aligning expectations.
  • Uphold stringent standards of accuracy and governance to ensure the integrity and reliability of data-driven insights.

 

 

To be successful in this role you should have:

 

  • Business IntelligenceandData Visualisationknowledge and experience.
  • Proven experience and working knowledge ofBI toolssuch asLooker Core,Looker Studio,Tableau,Power BI,or similar is essential.
  • StrongSQL skills, an ability to write efficient queries for data exploration, transformation and visualisation.
  • Google Cloud expertise, familiarity withBigQuery,DataFormandGCP analytics services, looks and data integration strategies.
  • An understanding ofData Modellingand familiarity withLookMLorsimilar semantic modelling frameworks.
  • Financial services knowledge, understanding of Commercial Banking, financial products and riskwould be advantageous.
  • Lateral thinking skills, the ability to innovate and shape projects from inception by contributing your own ideas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence, communicate analysis and recommendations to colleagues at different levels of the organisation.
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex technical solutions to audiences of different technical knowledge and understanding.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to work in ambiguity.

 

This is a hybrid based in Birmingham.
