Role

Octus’ Product Analytics team is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support Octus’ largest department, Editorial. This role will help to unlock the power of data-driven decision-making for the editorial team. You will play a pivotal role in extracting valuable insights from complex data sets to shape our strategies, enhance customer experience, and drive our business forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a deep understanding of our Editorial department including products, internal tools, strategic priorities, stakeholder needs, as well as key customers segments
  • Insights Generation: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform company strategies and decision-making processes
  • Work cross functionally to build relationships across the Editorial team to understand the various teams, their processes, and KPIs
  • Reporting and Visualization: Develop and present clear, comprehensive reports and visualizations that translate complex data into actionable insights for your stakeholders
  • Continue to learn and grow as a data analyst learning new skills and new technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant course work or 1 - 2 years of experience working in data analytics, statistics, or a related field
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate quantitative information
  • Experience with data analysis languages (e.g., SQL, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into stories and recommendations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work from the London office 3 days per week; UK remote candidates will also be considered.
